Chairman PAPGAI
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the General Body Members and Executive Committee of PAPGAI for their confidence in my commitment and abilities to serve as the Chairman of our esteemed association. I pledge to work with my team for the betterment of our industry. Our targets will be as follows:
1.To start the campaign of securing an
Essential Industry Status for the Printing, Packaging and Graphic Arts Industry through PR and lobbying at all relevant forums including FPCCI, relevant Ministries, Chambers of Commerce & Industry including LCCI and KCCI, as well as concerned Government Departments. We will create an awareness about the vital importance of the Printing and Packaging Industry of Pakistan as it serves as a backbone supplier to all other key industries including Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Auto Parts and Engineering Products, Textiles, Sports Goods etc.
2. Make efforts in the area of Technical Education to solve the problem of shortage of educated and skilled workforce facing our industry through following initiatives:
a). To start international standard short course for Offset Machine Operator Level 2 at Government College of Technology, Printing and Graphic Arts (PGA).
b). To contribute to the improvement of the standard of DAE in Printing in teamwork with TEVTA and PGA.
c). To take steps for the launch of a Bachelor’s Degree in Printing, Packaging and Graphic Arts Technology.
d). To introduce the concept of RPL i.e. Recognition of Prior learning for upgrade of the existing not so educated workforce of the industry.
3. To cater to the needs of this modern era, we will improve and mobilize PAPGAI’s social media assets including Face Book, Official Website etc to make sure that our message and sincere efforts reach all members of our industry and encourage co-operation, better understanding and sharing of best practices. This is also much required for a worthy introduction of our association to the international organizations related to Printing, Packaging and Graphic Arts Industry.
4. Re-enforce the value of PAPGAI Membership being the biggest platform of the Printing, Packaging and Graphic Arts Industry of Pakistan.
To team up with credible welfare organizations to reach the needy, less privileged ones and create opportunities of technical education leading to respectable employment opportunities for them within our industry.
To establish and/or strengthen PAPGAI’S relations with international organizations
like World Print and Communication Forum, PIEC, etc.
It has been a great honor for me to serve as the Senior Vice Chairman, PAPGAI and serving the industry members while voicing their concerns with the relevant authorities to promote an environment of business growth. In order to get awareness and development for the industry, PAPGAI has been holding PRINTPAK exhibition for years alternatively in Karachi and Lahore. The exhibition allows the industry leaders to connect with their relevant audiences promoting market and business growth. In addition to this, PRINTPAK conduct workshops on different fields led by experts. These workshops allow the recipients to enhance their knowledge in their respective fields.
PAPGAI’s initiative taking ability in the past for the betterment of the industry is unparalleled and with its resilient approach of moving forward, the association took the lead in collaborating with Sindh Board of Technical Education to launch a program, “Recognize Prior Learning”.
Under this initiative, the already employed skilled workforce in the industry will be provided with an opportunity to go through a 3 day workshop with an examination at the end to acquire a recognized certificate. This will not only organize the domestic talent as per their specialization for the industry but will also create an opportunity for them to serve abroad as industry’s ambassadors.
The association provided the platform to State Bank Pakistan to disseminate information regarding SME schemes among its members. This awareness will not only help the industry grow but will also provide a fair opportunity to SMEs to contribute their share towards the national economy.
I urge the Printing & Graphic Art community to come forward and join us at PRINTPAK 2022. Success of this event will surely be the success of this community as a whole. In the end, I would like to thank all my associates and colleagues who have worked hard in organizing this event.
