The recent FPCCI roundtable discussion on the packaging sector marked a significant achievement for all stakeholders who came together to address key challenges currently faced by Pakistan’s Printing and Packaging industry. Mr.Haider Ali, Managing Director Packages Limited presented a shield to Chairman PAPGAI Mr.Saad Haleem Khan. Mr.Aftab Ahmed Managing Director Century Paper & Board Mills Limited, Mr.Zaki Ejaz Vice President FPCCI, Mr.Mujahid Ali Shaikh Chairman Flexpak, Mr.Adnan Khalid Butt VP LCCI, Mr.Abdul Wadood Alvi V.Chairman PAPGAI and Mr.Tayyab Ejaz CEO Roshan Packages were amongst the distinguished guests on this occasion.

A very productive session was held in which matters related to PR and lobbying for the interests of Printing & Packaging Industry, technical training, Management trainings, etc were discussed in detail. Chairman PAPGAI Mr.Saad Haleem Khan, SVC Mr.Ismail Aziz, VC Mr.Abdul Wadood Alvi, Former Chairman Mr.Abdul Majeed, Mr.Salman Haroon, Mr.Naseeruddin and Mr.Saad Mansoor were present at the occasion. It was followed by dinner courtesy Karachi Brothers present.

Mr. Arif Hussain, Vice Chairman of Icon Design and former Vice Chairman of PAPGAI, Mr. Amin ul Hassan, paid a visit to Trace Pakistan where they had a productive meeting with students specializing in Printing and Graphic Designing. During the meeting, they generously shared their valuable insights and knowledge about the printing and packaging industry. Additionally, they assured Trace Pakistan’s management of PAPGAI’s continued support and industry assistance for students’ industrial visits, On-The-Job Training (OJT), and placement opportunities within the industry. Furthermore, they expressed their admiration for Trace Pakistan’s efforts in fostering youth development.

Chairman PAPGAI Mr.Saad Haleem Khan and Vice Chairman Mr.Abdul Wadood Alvi represented the Printing, Packaging & Graphic Arts Industry at the launch of “Bano Qabil” campaign for youth by Al Khidmat Foundation.

Congratulations PAPGAI members, Printing, Publishing and Packaging become first sector of Pakistan to certify it’s skilled worker within the industry along with Gap Training to uplift the skills of their team and meet the international standards in collaboration with Trace Pakistan and Sindh Board of Technical Education

Chairman PAPGAI Mr.Saad Haleem Khan attended the 50 Years Golden Jubilee function of PGA (Printing College) at Lahore as a Guest of Honour. He highlighted the importance of the Printing and Packaging Industry as well as PAPGAI’s contribution to not just the establishment of this institute but also in later years to partnering with Tevta towards teachers training, running short courses, contribtions through members for establishment of digital lab and other initiatives. Also highlighted the positive role played by its graduates turned entrepreneurs within PAPGAI including Mobien Husseini, Irfan Ahmad, Faheem Bhutta, Irfan Munir and many others. He also appreciated the efforts by PAPGAI’s Karachi office led by Mr.Salman Haroon towards the cause of technical education for the printing industry.

Mr. Saad Haleem, Chairman of the Pakistan Association of Printing and Graphic Arts Industry (PAPGAI), presided over a collaborative meeting organized by PAPGAI Karachi during his visit to the city. He shared the success of the “6 Months Short Course of Offset Machine Operator Level 2” at PGA, Lahore and applauded the efforts of the Skills Committee at Lahore headed by Mr.Mobein Husseini and also acknowledged the valuable inputs by Mr.Salman Haroon at Karachi.

Mr. Ismail Aziz, the Senior Vice Chairman of PAPGAI, along with Dr. S.M. Minhajuddin, Mr. Saad Mansoor Bari, and Mr. S.M. Naseeruddin, recently embarked on a visit to Trace Pakistan. This distinguished organization holds the unique position of being the only private sector entity authorized to provide certified training and conduct RPL assessments in Pre Press, Press and Post Press Operations. In addition, they offer a wide array of advanced courses affiliated with the Sindh Board of Technical Education and Cisco.

A very well attended meeting between PAPGAI and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) took place. Addressing the occassion Mr.Saad Haleem Khan (Chairman PAPGAI) said that our vision is clear

A historical MOU was signed between PAPGAI and TEVTA to cater to the Technical education needs of the Printing Industry. Mr.Muhammad Mamoon Jaffar Tarar, Chairman Tevta and Mr.Saad Haleem Khan Chairman PAPGAI signed the MOU.

Chairman PAPGAI, Mr.Saad Haleem Khan visited Karachi recently. Senior Vice Chairman Mr.Ismail Aziz and Dr.S.M.Minhajjudin hosted 2 lunch meetings. Mr.Basit Zaidi, Mr.Salman Haroon, Mr.S.M.Naseeruddin and Mr.Huzzaifa Abbass also graced the occassion. Mr.Tanveer Ahmad, GM Century Paper & Board Mills was a special guest. Meaningful discussions took place regarding availability of raw materials, prices trend and other important matters. (Jan12th, 2023)
